Also, inspired by an actual recent picture of myself  

this is a line Emma Frost said to Asma in one of my old stories it was a very tensed moment and Asma slowly changed from a genuine and carefree young woman into a stern, darker version of herself. She was dealing with so much stress that she refused to give herself a break. Emma spotted it and decided to confront Asma about it. They weren't really close to each other at that time, they weren't even friends but Emma made a move towards her and during their conversation/ Asma being in denial, this sentence literally pierced through Asma's defense. 

Later on, Asma would return the favour and help Emma regain hope and self-confidence as well as a better control on her random powers.

Yes, short hair because I fancy Asma with short hair such a cliché (dramatic events  followed by dramatic changes)  but I don't care she's really nice with short hair
